Specters to Perform at Benefit Dinner for ALO Education Programs, Long Center

Specters by Mark MatsonJoseph Specter, ALO’s general director, and his wife Kate will perform at an intimate dinner at the Long Center’s Kodosky Lounge on Wednesday, September 4. Proceeds from the dinner will be split between ALO and Long Center educational programs.

“The Spectacular Specters” takes place on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m.

This is a rare opportunity to see current Austin Lyric Opera General Director and professional baritone, Joe Specter, perform a private concert with his lovely and talented wife, Kate. During his career as a singer, Specter performed more than 20 opera and musical theater roles with companies throughout the United States. This will be an intimate evening of music and dining in the Kodosky Donor Lounge with catering by Sterling Affairs Catering & Events.

Proceeds from ticket sales will help support ALO’s educational programs like Opera By Night, which provides more than 5,000 Central Texas students a rare chance to see ALO dress rehearsals for free, and Opera Treasure Chest, a standards-aligned program that gives local teachers the tools to introduce classical music concepts that benefit writing, critical thinking and other skills.

Space is limited to 100 people at this intimate performance. To purchase tickets, click here.
