Supernumerary Casting

Join the excitement at Austin Opera’s electrifying production of Fiddler on the Roof. We're calling for dynamic, strong supers to help bring the vibrant village of Anatevka to life. If you can lift 50 pounds, we want you on our team! 

Not only will you take part as an extra in thrilling scenes, but you’ll also get hands-on with moving scenic panels and set props—be a crucial part of the action.

Rehearsals start on January 17th, leading to a fantastic run of performances on February 5, 6, 7, and 8, 2026. As a thank you for your hard work, supers will receive a stipend. To apply, fill in the appropriate information on this FORM and email the completed form and a headshot/photo of yourself to Company Manager Rebecca Graham with “Supernumerary Application” in the subject line.
