Help shape the future of Austin’s arts community.

Named for Austin Opera’s new home at 5811 Trade Center Drive, the 5811 Club recognizes supporters whose investment is helping bring the Sarah and Ernest Butler Performance Center to life. A $5,811 capital campaign gift or pledge helps create a permanent home for Austin Opera and a vibrant cultural hub where artists, audiences, students, and community members can come together year-round.

As a 5811 Club member, you may have your name—or the name of someone you wish to honor or memorialize—permanently engraved on a seat in the new theater. Members are also invited to an exclusive commemorative seat-naming celebration and an annual recital and reception featuring Austin Opera’s Resident Stars.

5811 Club members also receive one year of President’s Council benefits, including complimentary VIP parking and access to the Kodosky Donor Lounge at the Long Center during Austin Opera performances, as well as an invitation to an annual Patron Program Party held in a private home.

With only 189 commemorative seats available, the 5811 Club offers a meaningful way to leave your mark on Austin’s cultural future while helping create a home where the arts can thrive for generations to come.

The Butler Performance Center

At the center of this movement is the creation of the Sarah and Ernest Butler Performance Center, Austin's newest cultural hub that will present year-round cultural experiences by dozens of local arts organizations.

Opening in fall of 2026, Austin’s newest performance center, named for generous lead philanthropists Sarah and Ernest Butler, will include a 180-seat theater and rehearsal space, teaching and practice studios, a costume shop, a conference center, outdoor event space, and the Opera’s administrative offices.

This new home will expand Austin Opera’s mission in exciting ways, allowing us to engage our community year-round with a broader range of programming while also addressing a critical need for affordable performance and rehearsal space in our thriving city.
