About Access Opera
Austin Opera is excited to provide the opportunity for students in Central Texas to experience live opera through our Access Opera program, and to support teachers in their efforts to create this meaningful and memorable occasion for their students.
Registration will cost $5 per final dress rehearsal ticket (for students and chaperones) and will remain free for Title I schools. Participation in the Access Opera program includes:
- Tickets to the final dress rehearsal of a Long Center season production.
- A free TEKS aligned, cross-curricular Access Opera Interactive Resource Guide, which gives an in-depth look into the show and our production in advance of the performance.
- Optional docent presentation about the production, presented by our passionate Austin Opera volunteer docents. Subject to availability.
No school or student will be turned away from the Access Opera program for inability to pay.
Please contact Director of Education & Community Impact, Andréa Ochoa, for more information.
