Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Community Day

Join us for a free, family-friendly Community Day celebrating the opening of our new home!
Enjoy food trucks and concessions, get creative with face painting, and let little ones discover the world of music at our instrument petting zoo. There will be live performances throughout the afternoon, featuring Austin Opera Resident Artists and a special presentation by Roy Lozano Ballet Folklorico.
Plus, help us celebrate the world premiere of our first Spanish/English opera commission, Ofrenda, with a community altar that will remain on display through Día de los Muertos, honoring the loved ones and traditions that connect us.
We’ll close the afternoon with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony officially welcoming Austin’s newest performance venue to the community.
