Digital Tickets
General Digital Ticket Questions
What are digital tickets?
Digital ticketing is a convenient, secure, contactless, service that delivers your tickets to your mobile device using rotating/dynamic QR codes. Your QR codes will activate 48 hours prior to your performance start time and will refresh every 30 seconds. Digital tickets use rotating QR codes, so you know you have a valid ticket and reduce the ability to counterfeit tickets and resell them.
Why is Austin Opera using digital tickets?
Digital tickets provide you with an easy and safe way to receive and share your tickets with friends and family. No more stress over how to print at home, running out of printer ink, or misplacing your tickets. Your tickets are always available in your digital wallet.
Do I have to download an app?
No. No apps are necessary to access your digital wallet.
How do I access my digital tickets?
It takes just 3 easy steps!
- Go to mytickets.austinopera.org.
- Enter the email address used when purchasing and request an access code be sent to your email.
- Enter the access code and select “Stay Logged In” to stay logged in for 30 days.
Once in your wallet, you can tap your event(s) to see all the details of your ticket(s).
How do I know what email and password to use?
Log in to your digital ticket wallet using the same email address used to purchase your tickets. You can request an access code be sent to your email or use your password by clicking the “login manually instead” link.
What if I forgot my password?
Go to mytickets.austinopera.org and click the Forgot Password button to reset your password.
May I print my digital tickets or send screen shots of them to others?
No. In order to keep your tickets safe and secure, printouts and screenshots are not accepted and cannot be scanned at the door. Once activated, the QR code on your digital ticket(s) updates every 30 seconds, and can only be scanned directly from your mobile device.
My digital tickets do not have a QR code, what should I do?
As a safety measure, the QR codes will not be visible on your tickets until 48 hours before your performance start time. Your QR code for your digital tickets will automatically appear in your digital wallet at that time.
May I add my digital tickets to my Apple or Google Wallet?
You can now add your digital tickets to your Apple Wallet. Google Wallet does not yet support rotating or dynamic QR codes.
What if I do not have a mobile device?
No problem! While digital tickets require a smart mobile device to access your tickets, if you don’t have a smart mobile device, you can contact Austin Opera at 512-472-5992 or email [email protected] to arrange to pick up your printed tickets at Will Call.
What if my phone dies before the opear?
