This month, Timothy will examine this exquisite abut lesser-known Bizet opera alongside director Alison Moritz and choreographer Anuradha Naimpally. The conversation will include an exploration of exoticism and orientalism in opera, and the ways in which we are approaching these elements in The Pearl Fishers. The creative team will share how dance and movement are being incorporated into the opera by choreographer and Austin Dance India Artistic Director Anuradha Naimpally, and the evening will include demonstrations from Austin Dance India artists who will be featured in the production.
