At the beginning of April, Austin Opera welcomed superstar soprano (and our Tosca!) Latonia Moore as the first guest artist for the newly-endowed Sarah & Ernest Butler Masterclass Series! Five students – two from Huston-Tillotson University and three from The University of Texas at Austin – presented pieces for Ms. Moore and a small online Zoom audience of fellow singers and professors.
This week on Live from Indy Terrace, we share an excerpt from the Masterclass (UT soprano Zoe Kim singing from Puccini’s Edgar – an opera Ms. Moore is known for) and celebrate the wisdom passed from one artist to another. Enjoy!
