Austin Opera, University of Texas at Austin Butler School of Music, and Austin Public Library team up for a free series discovering various aspects of opera this summer. This series of interactive workshops will be held at various Austin Public Library branches. Each workshop will include live performances and interactive educational activities for children focusing on a particular aspect of opera. Each workshop will last approximately one hour and feature a short activity introducing the theme of that day’s workshop, followed by a creative project for participants, ending in a brief performance. These interactive workshops will be held at Austin Public Library branches throughout June and July.

Join us for this workshop as we explore the choreography, dance, and movement that helps express the story being told in opera. The Choreographer workshop will be held at the Southeast Branch of Austin Public Library.

Thursday, July 18th @ 6:00 PM
