Noche de Ópera is where Austin's international community comes together to share their love of opera! Enjoy an intimate performance by Austin Opera Resident Star Kristin Bilodeau and pianist Yu-Hsin Teng at the home of Christina and Alexis Aimard. Celebrate the upcoming production of Carmen as you mingle with fellow arts enthusiasts over wine and hors d'oeuvres.
Saturday, April 6 at 12:00 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. This unique event for families will be held at the Consulate of Mexico in Austin. Teaching artists Cristina Flores and Monica Salas will engage kids through opera and music during this bilingual, one-hour interactive program and performance. The program content is ideal for children in grades K-3. However, kids of all ages and their caregivers will enjoy hearing Ms. Flores and Ms. Salas perform traditional arias and songs by Latinx composers.
Wednesday, April 10 at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Conductor Cues is an engaging, exploratory program created by Timothy Myers, featuring special guest stars, live performances, and insights inspired by one of Austin Opera's upcoming productions.
