Overview

Austin Opera presents soprano Lauren Snouffer and her husband, baritone Mark Diamond – proud Central Texans – alongside pianist Nyle Matsuoka. Filmed and edited by local firm Subvrsive at the Long Center’s Rollins Theater.

Recorded exclusively for the Blue Starlite Drive-In and part of the Sarah & Ernest Butler Performance Series, Lauren + Mark is a digital movie experience you won’t want to miss!

Their diverse and satisfying program features selections chosen by Austin Opera’s most loyal patrons (and a few surprises, of course). This film also serves as a love letter to the city we are lucky to call home. Take in the sights and sounds of Opera ATX!

BLUE STARLITE DRIVE-IN POLICIES

  • All patrons must be in a vehicle to be admitted. There is no open-air seating allowed at this time (no hatchbacks or truckbeds, for example).
  • We highly suggest only two patrons per car, ensuring all passengers are seated in front vehicle seats for optimal viewing.
  • Please remain in your car for the duration of your time at Blue Starlite, except to use the restrooms (masks required).
  • Car windows must be at least 75% up if you choose to not wear a mask in your vehicle; otherwise, masked patrons may roll their windows all the way down.
  • Because of the in-car-only policy, Blue Starlite allows cars to continue running for the sake of air conditioning/heating, but running lights must be turned off. Please check your vehicle manual for how to turn off running lights while your car is still running.
  • There are no assigned spots. The professionals at Blue Starlite will guide each vehicle to a spot according to height and clearance, ensuring all patrons have a great view of the screen!
  • BYO-Everything! Since ours is a special partnership with Blue Starlite and concessions will not be available onsite, you are welcome to bring your favorite beverages (alcoholic or not) and snacks to enjoy during the film. To further elevate your evening, grab a take-out meal from a local restaurant on your way!
