Austin Opera invites you on an exclusive journey to The Glimmerglass Festival!
August 22-27, 2018
Join Austin Opera on a trip to one of the most prestigious US opera festivals, The Glimmerglass Festival, in the picturesque lake-front town of Cooperstown, NY. The August 2018 visit provides the opportunity to attend all four operas of the festival in the welcoming and friendly company of fellow Austin Opera patrons, Austin Opera General Director & CEO Annie Burridge and Chief Development officer Jennifer Dubin. Patrons will enjoy performances of Bernstein’s West Side Story, a new production of Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen staring Heidi Stober and Eric Owens, Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, and the Pulitzer Prize-winning opera by composer Kevin Puts and librettist Mark Campbell, Silent Night, the same creative team as The Manchurian Candidate! Highlights of the trip include post-performance gatherings with Annie Burridge to discuss the productions, a guided tour of the Fenimore Art Museum, a wine tasting, and fine dining.
