Heralding the return of the performing arts to Austin, Austin Opera’s An All-Star Concert will air on Austin PBS on Friday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The sixty-minute* concert will also be available on-demand via the PBS Video App or austinpbs.org until July 24. See details under the “How to watch” tab.

Recorded live in March at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, the concert includes some of the most passionate arias and duets in all of opera, plus selections from Broadway and the American Songbook. The Austin Opera Orchestra is conducted by Timothy Myers, Sarah and Ernest Butler Principal Conductor & Artistic Advisor, who took the podium for the first time since being appointed in the role.

The release of the film marks the Austin Opera debuts for mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard and bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green, both of whom are mainstays at The Metropolitan Opera and regularly appear at the world’s leading opera houses. Returning to the Long Center stage are soprano Sara Gartland, who starred as Adina in 2014’s The Elixir of Love, and tenor Chad Shelton, who last appeared with us as Don José in 2017’s Carmen.
